Historic Wrigley Landmark – The Heart of a Tennessee Community
Step back in time to the heart of the Wrigley Community - where history, heritage, and opportunity meet.
Built in the early 1900s by the Wrigley family of Chicago, this iconic brick structure has stood as a cornerstone of small-town life for almost a century.
Once home to the community’s commissary and post office, this building was where neighbors met, children ran errands for their parents, and stories were shared across the counter.
In the 1960s, it became a beloved local grocery store, serving families until 1978, when its walls found new life as an antique mall and later a local house of worship.
The large building has two primary open spaces, the front portion of the building and an addition to the rear. The front area is spacious enough for large groups of people
The second area features restrooms, breakroom and a large classroom. The rear of the building additional space for meetings and dining.
Now, for the first time in over 60 years, this historic treasure is being offered to the public—ready for its next chapter.
Constructed of solid masonry brick over a sturdy oak frame, the craftsmanship is as enduring as the memories it holds.
The main level spans nearly 4,600 square feet, with an additional 1,200-square-foot side canopy, providing endless potential for restoration, redevelopment, or creative repurposing.
The property fronts 101 feet on Wrigley Road and extends 282 feet deep, offering ample room for parking, expansion, or outdoor gathering space.
This isn’t just a building - it’s a piece of Tennessee’s story.
A place where the past whispers through the walls, inviting new dreams to take root.
Whether you envision a charming market, café, event venue, or artist’s studio, the possibilities are as limitless as your imagination.
Own a piece of Wrigley’s legacy - where history meets opportunity.

"Starts to Close at 6:00pm CST" - All online auctions have a posted date and time. The time provided should not be considered a HARD CLOSE. We do not employ a Hard Close; we use a Soft Close method of bidding countdown, for purposes of extended bidding.
Extended Bidding means the capability of the online auction platform to be programmed to extend the closing time of each lot automatically by a pre-determined time (by 2 minutes for instance) as long as there is still bidding activity until all bids have been placed. “Auto extend” has the same meaning as “extended bidding”. This process is seen quite often during online personal property auctions; we also employ this same process during online real estate auctions.
Why does Hudgins Auctions use “Extended Bidding”… Fairness to all bidders! Essentially, it is a built-in function that adds a time extension after a bid has been placed within the final two minutes of the countdown timer. This extended bidding feature is to ensure that the process is fair for all bidders. A similar process is used in live auctions, where bidding continues as long as participants choose to place additional bids. In our live auctions, we often give fair warning, count down, etc. to allow all bidders opportunity to bid. Should a bid be submitted during this “extended countdown”, the bidding always continues until a last and final bid is achieved. The online bidding format has been designed to emulate the live auction – Fairness to all bidders!
