Tucked-Away Treasure Near Nashville

A Storybook Log Home on 2 Scenic Acres

9578 South Harpeth Road - The Quiet Side of Nashville

Just minutes from the charm of Franklin, the convenience of Bellevue, and the growing community of Fairview, this beloved log home offers the best of both worlds: peace and privacy, with easy access to everything Middle Tennessee has to offer. Set on two level acres with a soothing creek, open pasture views, and a fenced paddock ideal for your horses or hobby farm dreams—this renovated log retreat is a rare find in today’s market.

From the moment you step onto the wide, welcoming front porch, you’ll feel the embrace of true Southern hospitality.  Step inside the 2,020-square-foot home and feel the warmth that only true log construction can offer—exposed beams, a cozy fireplace, wood-plank walls and a floor plan that invites both gathering and quiet reflection - a timeless ambiance that welcomes you in and invites you to stay. With 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and spaces designed for comfort and connection, it’s a home where memories are made and cherished.  Every corner of this home tells a story, seasoned with decades of love, laughter, and family moments.

The owners’ favorite spot? The screened-in back porch—where gentle breezes, ceiling fans, and the soft sounds of frogs and crickets create the perfect setting for both early-morning coffee and quiet evenings under the stars. It’s their year-round haven for watching wildlife, stargazing, or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

From the front porch, you’ll catch glimpses of cows and horses grazing in the distance, a daily reminder that you’re living a slower, more grounded kind of life. Inside, every room holds stories—especially for this family, who brought their baby boy home here, watched his first steps on these hardwood floors, and celebrated countless milestones in the warmth of this special place.

This home isn’t just beautiful—it’s meaningful. A retreat from the busy world. A place to breathe. A place to belong.  Remember that stunning screened back porch, where morning coffee tastes better and evening breezes feel just right?  Sit back, relax, and look over the fenced rear paddock perfect for horses or the hobby farm of your dreams, the view offers a daily reminder of life’s simple pleasures.

Close to the scenic Natchez Trace Parkway, the iconic Loveless Cafe, and some of Tennessee’s best parks and trail systems, this log home is your chance to live the life you’ve dreamed of—close to everything, yet a world away.

Nestled just beyond the rhythm of Music City, this home is more than a place to live—it's a lifestyle that embraces nature, simplicity, and soul.  The owners fell in love with the peaceful setting, the open skies, and the space to roam and grow. They cherished watching wildlife from the porch, hearing only birds and the wind, and feeling worlds away from the bustle—while still being close to Nashville’s rich culture, dining, and entertainment.  You’ll fall in love too.

"Starts to Close at 6:00pm CST" - All online auctions have a posted date and time.  The time provided should not be considered a HARD CLOSE.  We do not employ a Hard Close; we use a Soft Close method of bidding countdown, for purposes of extended bidding.

Extended Bidding means the capability of the online auction platform to be programmed to extend the closing time of each lot automatically by a pre-determined time (by 2 minutes for instance) as long as there is still bidding activity until all bids have been placed. “Auto extend” has the same meaning as “extended bidding”.  This process is seen quite often during online personal property auctions; we also employ this same process during online real estate auctions.

Why does Hudgins Auctions use “Extended Bidding”… Fairness to all bidders! Essentially, it is a built-in function that adds a time extension after a bid has been placed within the final two minutes of the countdown timer.  This extended bidding feature is to ensure that the process is fair for all bidders. A similar process is used in live auctions, where bidding continues as long as participants choose to place additional bids.  In our live auctions, we often give fair warning, count down, etc. to allow all bidders opportunity to bid.  Should a bid be submitted during this “extended countdown”, the bidding always continues until a last and final bid is achieved.  The online bidding format has been designed to emulate the live auction – Fairness to all bidders!

Server & Software Technical Issues: In the event technical issues are experienced that are related to the server, software or any other online auction related technologies, Hudgins Auctions, David Hudgins (Auctioneer) and the Seller reserve the right to extend bidding, continue the bidding, or close the bidding. By registering and bidding in this auction each bidder automatically and expressly acknowledges that Hudgins Auctions, David Hudgins (Auctioneer) and the company providing the software shall NOT be responsible or liable for a missed bid or the failure of the software to function properly for any reason. Email notifications may be sent to registered bidders with updated information as deemed necessary by Hudgins Auctions, David Hudgins (Auctioneer).
