This 4,623 square foot brick building was
built in 1920 as a local church.
This 4,623 square foot brick building was
built in 1920 as a local church.
The structure was last used as a local "auction house" holding a weekly auction for the community. The building still has a large
open room (once the auditorium), ideal for large crowds.
There have been other rooms added on the main level, which have been used as office space, storage and a concessions / dining area.
We walked downstairs into the lower level (basement) of the building on Wednesday, March 24th. Even though there has been rain in recent days, the entire lower level was perfectly DRY! This lower level was once the classrooms for the church. It is apparent in recent years the owners used these lower level rooms for storage. Counting the square footage of the lower level to the amount of the main level will put the total square footage over 7,000 square feet!
The property is zoned Commercial
The lot size is - 65' wide x 97' deep and sits on the corner of Church Street and College Street in downtown Centerville very near the old Courthouse Square. The actual outside dimensions of the structure are 87' deep x 57' wide! There is a partial basement / lower level.
Bidding increments is set at a minimum of $1,000; bidders may enter bid amounts greater than the minimum.
Bidding ends on Thursday, April 15th at 6:30pm
There is a variety of items remaining in the building. Whatever remains in the building as of the closing date will become the property of the new owner. Please note there will be a LOT of items remaining!
